SCRIPPS BUILDING

Built in 1907 and located two blocks from San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, these renovated, 28-unit live/work lofts, occupy a prominent downtown address. Local historians list the building among the landmarks signifying the early rise of commercial growth in 20th century San Diego. Today, as owned and managed by L.W.P. Group, it is the picture of preservation and restoration filled with reverential nods. Each floor maintains an original stamped concrete hallway, part of a deft balance that tastefully incorporates the building’s legacy elements with staples of commercial urban life. Consequently, a ground-floor space occupied by 7-Eleven, is given added distinction.
